Good Afternoon Friends! My grandfather, Bill Connolly, was a Shriner and a proud member of The Salaam Shrine in Livingston. Additionally, he played the glockenspeil with the Field Music group. I can't tell you how much joy I have, as you are kind enough to include me in the mailings of the Salaam Shrine News. I love to read about all the wonderful things this organization does. Even though Papa passed away in July of 2000, I still feel his presence through the Shriners. How proud we were, whever we saw the Shriners. I still get teary-eyed and wave with pride, whenever I see the Shriners in a parade or at the circus. When I was about 7, I wrote a letter to the Shriners, offering them my dollar that the tooth fairy had given me. I wanted you to use it to help the sick children. Unbeknownst to me, my letter was published in the Salaam News, and the story reached many of your temple members. My grandfather and his good friend Harry Traugott organized a small party in recognition of the small donation. I was surprised at our home with a visit from my beloved favorite clown "Big Red", family friend Harry Truagott, and "Holly Hock" the clown. I know now, that one dollar from a child wasn't the real reason for a party, but more of what the message was--everyone can help, even a child. I will never forget that day, or my friend Big Red, or Holly, or Harry, nor any one of you. I may not be in Eastern Star as my Nana was, and my husband and father are not members. But I consider myself "one of you", through my meories of my Papa. He loved you and everything you stand for. I do too. God Bless you. Much love, Dori J. Albanese-Cerciello, Grandaughter of Bill and Fran Connolly, of Longacre Drive, Livingston.

Web page looks great as does the Temple. I was President of OMSC in 1987 and still have many thoughts of all the good times I had with my brothers. Keep up the good work.

Hello to members of Salaam Temple and also the ladies of Maalas. My dear mother Ethel Crockford thoroughly enjoyed her years of friendship with the Daughters of the Nile. Now that she has passed, I am taking care of my father Harry Crockford's affairs, so found myself on the website today looking for a contact email address. Despite his failing health, Dad remembers his years of fellowship quite well and sends greetings. He enjoys the cards and other messages you send. Thank you all.

Just thinking of my departed Uncle Bill Lott of the Salaam Shrine String Band. Thought I would take a look around at the web site. I lost my membership when I moved and did not receive my membership dues billings which ended in my suspension without notice. Regards, Bro. Kent
