Shriners Hospitals for Children is committed to helping children with orthopedic problems, burns, spinal cord injuries and certain other health conditions, to lead fuller, more productive lives.

Any child may be eligible for care at a Shriners Hospital if the child is under the age of 18, and there is a reasonable possibility the child's condition can be helped by the specialized care provided by Shriners Hospitals for Children.  If you have or know of a child we can help, please have the family fill out one of our patient applications available below and mail it to the nearest Shriners Hospital for Children.  Remember, there is never any charge to the patient, family or third party insurance carrier for care provided by Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Admission Procedures for Burn Hospitals (Emergency)

The sooner a burned child reaches a Shriners Hospital specializing in burn treatment, the better their chances of recovery. IN AN EMERGENCY, the referring physician treating a burned child should telephone the chief of staff at the Shriners Hospital in Boston and indicate that there is a patient needing emergency medical care.

Transportation of the patient is the responsibility of the patient's family, but many Shrine Temples offer transportation assistance. The Shriners Hospital to which the child is being referred can assist in contacting a Shrine Temple for transportation assistance.
