Lots of fun and parading for the Memorial Day Weekend! It all started with the traditional involvement in the Morris Plains parade on the Saturday before Memorial Day. Salaam was in full force with Oriental Band, Divan Members, and the Motor Corps Unit to name a few. We also had the pleasure of the Grand Staff officers from Grand Lodge along with the Grand Master of Masons!
This was followed by the annual picnic at the Visscher’s home right there in Morris Plains. They put out a great spread for everybody who marched. The only thing that dampened the day (literally) was the torrential downpours of rain for about a god two hours.
this was followed by a Memorial Day parade in our home Oasis of Whippany on Memorial Day as we were invited and participated in the celebrations of the Township. This event afforded us a great opportunity to mingle with our township folks and officials. There’s nothing like reaching out to the communities you serve to get that community exposure and feeling of being one!
