WHIPPANY, NJ – At its February 12th meeting, the Hanover Township Committee proclaimed February 15 – 21, 2026 as Burn Awareness Week in the Township in recognition of Shriners International and all of their work supporting children affected by burn injuries.
Business Administrator Joe Giorgio introduced the proclamation, formally designating the week to highlight the organization’s annual education and safety initiative.
Representatives of Salaam Shriners, Inc., the local chapter headquartered in Whippany, NJ said “They requested the February designation as part of their yearly burn prevention campaign.” Illustrious Sir Paul M Ferreira.
