It was a beautiful summer night on July 15, 2022, in Lyndhurst, NJ. Worshipful Master John Cataldo of Adoniram Lodge No. 80 invited the Salaam membership team for a presentation on Shrinedom and a welcoming Luau combined with a traditional Table Lodge. It was complete with Pork, Beef, and Chicken dishes, prepared by the Chefs of the Lodge. A packed house ushered in the Customary Table Lodge Toasts dispersed throughout the evening. ILL sir Frank Williams handled the Hospital side of the Presentations, and Noble Paul Ferreira, Membership Chairman conducted a presentation on the membership side of things. Honored guests also included Paul Mossberg, NJ DeMolay Executive Officer, Past Potentates Frank Williams Past “Pandemic” Potentate 2020 (co-presenter), Ill. Sir Andrew Kuo Past Potentate 2011 & 2017, and ILL. SIr Paul Di Gaetano Past Potentate 2021 2021.Other Shriner members were on hand to support the cause.
Ill Sir Frank Williams
gave an inspiring and informative talk on the hospital system structure and the inspiring history of a patient named Deborah that suffered from a condition that created an excessive and painful bow-legged gate whenever she walked. Time-lapsed photos demonstrating Deborah’s recovery were amazing and uplifting for all to see. As the night marched forward the traditional vivats and toasts were made.
Interspersed in the evening was the fezzing ceremony for two of the newest nobles Rocco Pasquinucci and Noble Patrick Glover. Both were greeted with a round of applause. Noble Ferreira (membership chairman) also provided certificates for those in attendance who were recently created but had yet to receive their Temple certificates. The brethren of Adoniram were accommodating to all in attendance and Salaam picked up a few new recruits at the same time.
It was a great evening.
